Christmas 2010

Christmas morning line-up: The kids get to run down, youngest to oldest to see what goodies Santa brought!

Phew! Santa came!

Santa always leaves a treasure hunt for the big family gift. And they were off to find the clues...

The big gift? A trampoline for the backyard!

My kids were in love with this singing and dancing Santa at my parents house. My dad gladly gave it to my kids one day. Now I know why. 1) Kind of creepy and 2) Very annoying while singing.

The Lamoreaux clan came over after the presents were opened for brunch.

I don't think it was even 10 am when I found Brent like this:

But there was no time for sleeping! We were off to the Fosters for the afternoon and dinner.

Sandee, Courtney, Nautyka, Hayley & Allee. Such cute girls! Blake & Mathias - they have such similar sweet personalities. Wish he lived closer!

Kate, Lilee and Chloe

The grandkids with great grandpa!

The surprise of the day - when Marco asked to have a few minutes to talk. He started out by saying how much he loved the Foster family, how much he has learned from us and how the gospel has changed his life. And before we knew it . . . he was proposing to Jody. So happy for them!

Great Grandpa got so sick this month, that we were told he probably wouldn't make it more than a few days. We had all been working on a book for him - where each child, grandchild and great grandchild wrote the reasons why we loved him or our favorite memory of him.

When he opened it up and saw the picture of him and his wife Elsie on the cover, he broke out into tears and said "Oh Elsie, oh Elsie!" He is counting the days until they are reunited again.

Just another reminder of the sweetness of Christmas. So grateful that Christ made it possible to return to live with him again some day and that we can be reunited with those we love.
