Valentine's Day 2011

I love Valentine's day. I love surprising Brent . . .

and I love creating a special day for the kids. Brent and I can celebrate our love the weekend before or after, but we always make sure the kids feel special on V-day.

I had big plans for our Vday dinner. We were going to do a whole fondue dinner - - the cheese course, the different meats with sauces, and then of course chocolate fondue. However, one of my fondue pots required sterno which I forgot to pick up. And it turned out to be a crazy busy day, so . . . . we bagged the fondue idea this night, and ordered Papa Murphy's heart pizzas instead. (I was pleasantly surprised with how good it was!)

So funny story about the above pic . . . I had gotten Hayley an extra DS game at Christmas time thinking I'd just save it for Vday. But you know how that goes . . . as I'm wrapping their Vday gifts, I can't find hers. Anywhere. Searched and searched. Luckily she was very understanding and laughed it off. And later that night . . . I found it.

We still did the chocolate fondue for dessert! It's one of our favorite treats!

And I love how Kate made a huge hair clip her bracelet. Always a fashionista!

Sure love my hubby. Sure love my kids. Sure love Valentines Day. Life is good.

Chloe: "Does it smell like armpits?"

Me: "What did you just say?" I'm shocked. That's a word that I don't allow said . . . for anything. Even if they hate their food, they can't say hate.

So I grab her arm and march her off to time out.

Chloe: "Then can I say it OUTSIDE?"
