We kicked off the Easter weekend with an Easter egg hunt with Grandma Lamoreaux's ward. They had cute activities for the kids and a fun hunt with lots of candy.
Never too old for an egg hunt...
Growing up, our Easters were always spent with our good friends, the Partridges. Who would have ever imagined that their parents and daughter, Jane (below), would end up living out here too! Since her parents are in the same ward as mine, it was fun hanging out together with her cute family.
Had to come home and color our eggs (one of my least favorite holiday activities next to carving pumpkins). We "forgot" last year, and the kids weren't letting me out of it this year.
That evening we went to the Easter pageant at the temple. No better way to kick off the Easter holiday than reflecting on the life of Christ and all that he has done for us. And every time He rises up on top of the set, I get a little teary.
And here are some of the treats our friends received for Easter with one of my favorite quotes by Elder Wirthlin: "We all have our Fridays....but Sunday WILL come!"
Easter morning we have the same tradition as we do on Christmas. The kids have to wait until everyone is up before they head off to find their hidden baskets. The anticipation was killing them.
And they're off:
Easter Sunday Best!
After church we hosted Easter dinner at our place. Hayley helped set the table and did a great job!
One more Easter egg hunt with the cousins. They were a little excited.
And Kate & Chloe enjoyed finding money in some of their eggs!
Such a wonderful Easter spent together as a family. So blessed!
