Spring Break 2013
We stayed in town for spring break and tried our best to keep the kids occupied. Here are a few things we kept busy with:
Kate was a little entrepreneur as she made dozens of snowflakes and sold them to everyone she knew. She was pleasantly surprised when grandpa paid her a whole dollar for one instead of the quarter she was asking for.
$1 ice cream cones at Baskin Robbins. Need I say more? Yum!
Had a 500 piece puzzle out for about a week, and they loved working on it!
The weather was gorgeous during the break. A couple nights we went over to the park and played baseball with the kids. Even attempted tennis one night with them at the HS court!
Hayley took a cupcake class from Wendy McClendon who is the BEST baker! Check out the darling cupcakes she ended up making with fondant. Not only did they look cute, but the tasted amazing!
We took a day trip to Kartchner Caverns and Tombstone. This had been on our AZ bucklet list for years and the caverns were incredible. At one point during the tour, you sit in the cavern and they put on a light show put to music. Really made you sit and ponder the beauty of the earth. No way the creation happened just by chance!
The kids held not one, but two, lemonade stands and made about $20. They'd do it every day if I'd let them!
Got to meet up with Carrie - my bff from high school -- at the train park. My kids adore her little Jack!
Decorated for Easter of course. Am loving my mantle shelf that I get to change out each holiday.
Celebrated one of our last days of break by seeing the movie The Croods and grabbing lunch at Red Robin.
Hayley and Chloe got their annual (maybe semi-annual) hair cut.
Attempted a craft from Pinterest which was an epic fail. Making yarn eggs with balloons.
A fun filled March!

You guys do so many cool things! But what happened to Haley's leg? Is that a cast?
